Mr. Hammond was elected to the Board of Directors for the National Guardianship Association from 1996 until 2006, when he became Executive Director. Mr. Hammond was again elected to the National Guardianship Association Board of Directors in 2013 and now chairs the National Guardianship Association’s State Affairs Committee. Mr. Hammond was also elected to two terms on the Texas Guardianship Association’s Board of Directors from 2000 to 2006, and again in 2013 to present and chairs the TGA Public Policy Committee. Mr. Hammond is a frequent keynote speaker at state guardianship associations and other public and private forums. Mr. Hammond has devoted his career to understanding the challenges and impediments encountered by families, guardians, conservators, courts, and guardianship systems in general across America.
He has been invited to participate in educational sessions and round table discussions that might assist the public
and local practitioners in better understanding and improving guardianship and conservatorship in their communities.
